These are official Boy Scouts of America wheels FROM THE KIT! BSA wheels have imperfections in them. These defects are the result of fluctuations in the plastic injection molding process, as well as the advanced age of the wheel molds. As a result, the wheels are not perfectly round as intended, with high and low spots along the wheel tread and tread edge, as well as flaws in the inner and outer hubs. These can cause the car to hop slightly as it goes down the track, creating instability and reducing its speed. We have corrected these manufacturing imperfections, resulting in a wheel that is much rounder and therefore much faster!
