Where the wheels attach to the body can be a significant friction point.  Eliminate this problem with Teflon™ PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) Film.  This hyper slippery tape/sticker attaches to the car body with the axle passing through the center.   The wheel’s inner hub will rub against the tape rather than the bare wood or painted surface!
