These wheels retain ALL features and appearance of a stock BSA wheel, but have a significant amount of weight removed from the interior sidewall. Coming in at under 1.9g, they require less energy (due to a reduction in rotational inertia) to start rolling, which leads to faster starts and a savings in energy that can be used to propel the car down the track! SuperStocks are significantly faster than standard/kit wheels.
These are official Boy Scouts of America wheels FROM THE KIT! BSA wheels have imperfections in them. These defects are the result of fluctuations in the plastic injection molding process, as well as the advanced age of the wheel molds. As a result, the wheels are not perfectly round as intended, with high and low spots along the wheel tread and tread edge, as well as flaws in the inner and outer hubs. These can cause the car to hop slightly as it goes down the track, creating instability and reducing its speed. We have corrected these manufacturing imperfections, resulting in a much lighter wheel that is rounder and therefore much faster.
ALL contact surfaces of the wheel have been corrected/trued, including:
- Tread
- Inner tread edge
- Outer hub
- Inner hub
